Materials:
Size H hook
1 skein of worsted weight yarn, any color
(I’ve used cotton or acrylic. You will definitely need less than a 3.5 oz skein)
Start: Ch 4, join with a sl st to form a circle, ch 3
Round 1: 16dc in circle, join, ch 3
Round 2: dc in sm sp; dc in next dc, [2dc in next dc, dc in next dc], repeat around, join, ch 3
Round 3: dc in sm sp; dc in next dc, [2dc in next dc, dc in next 2 dc], repeat around, join, ch 3
Round 4: dc in sm sp; dc in next dc, [2dc in next dc, dc in next 3 dc], repeat around, join, ch 3
Round 5: dc in sm sp; dc in next dc, [2dc in next dc, dc in next 4 dc], repeat around, join, ch 3
Round 6: dc in sm sp; dc in next dc, [2dc in next dc, dc in next 5 dc], repeat around, join, ch 3
Round 7: dc in sm sp; dc in next dc, [2dc in next dc, dc in next 6 dc], repeat around, join, ch 3
Round 8-14: dc around, join, ch 1
Round 15: sc in sm sp, ch3, [sk 1 sc, sc in next sc, ch3], repeat around, join.
OTHER VARIATIONS:
- For women/girls: Weave some 1/4″ ribbon for a feminine touch
- For men: Use “manly” colors and do a round of sc instead of row 15.
- To be able to flip up the edge: add 4-6 rounds after row 14
