New babies!

We visited our local farmer’s market for the first time yesterday. The veggies and fruit displays were amazing, and had so much to choose from. Being a big veggie eater, it was like being in veggie heaven!
farmer's market plantsI was so blessed to find that one of the vendors sold locally grown herb and vegetable plants. I have been thinking that I need to get to Home Depot to get some plants, but when I saw this guy, I knew this was my chance to support a local grower AND get some of the plants I needed. Here they are, and they are beautiful healthy little plants.

I got 3 zucchini, 2 serrano peppers, and 1 habanero. I’m going to try him again next week and see if he has any jalapeno and bell peppers. Wish me luck!

Blessings,

  1. I love growing things but [sniff sniff] I kill them. I planted my tomato plant in a large pot with the wrong soil and it’s dying.

Hope you have a great weekend!

  2. You know what? I kill plants too. The only reason my garden yields what it does is because Todd put a sprinkler system in that allows me to go about life without paying much attention to the garden. Otherwise, I’m awful!

  3. Maybe–but it’s awfully hot out here. The only plants that do ok without much water are tomatoes–which is weird because they are very juicy.

But yeah—I’m sure that having sun for most of the year is helpful! LOL
