Below, I will be sharing the recipe for this massage oil, as well as the properties of all of the oils I used, in as much as they pertain to aiding in soothing muscle aches and easing emotional and mental tension.
Cindy’s Massage Oil
6 tsp grapeseed oil (base oil, easily absorbed into the skin)
18 drops lavender essential oil (analgesic, antidepressent, sedative, tonic)
14 drops rosemary essential oil (analgesic, antispasmodic)
4 drops frankincense essential oil (anti-inflammatory, sedative, tonic)
NOTE: Avoid using during pregnancy. As with all herbs, please do your research before using them.
Properties mentioned above:
-analgesic – relieves/diminishes pain
-antidepressant – uplifts and counteracts depression
-sedative – calms and reduces nervousness, distress and agitation
-tonic – invigorates and strengthens the body
-antispasmodic – relives spasms and cramps of the smooth muscles
-antiinflammatory – relieves or alleviates inflammation
