Welcome to
FARM GIRL BLOG FEST #17!
Thanks to everyone who participated last week! It is YOU who make this Blog Fest so interesting and SO much fun! There were many thought provoking and some really fun posts last week! We hope you checked them out!
Here are the favorites from the last Blog Fest:
#1 Self Sufficient or Community Sufficient? by Prepared to Eat
Jamie gives us some more easily attainable goals of how to be more ‘sufficient’
with the help of our neighbors and community. Great thoughts, Jamie!
#2 Living the Dream Life by Life on the Funny Farm
Anne shares the lighter (more realistic) side of homesteading.
This post was so much fun!
#3 But I’m Just Too Busy by A New (England) Life
Kailyn gives us some things to think about when we areĀ
tempted to skip making good food choices. Very thought-provoking!
Congratulations everyone!
If you were chosen as a favorite, I invite you to grab the Farm Girl Friday Blog Fest ‘favorites’ button and display it proudly on your blog!

Thanks for sharing again, Clint! Wonderful to have you!
Kristi,
I’m amazed that you make the time to create such thoughtful essays while still being busy with hosting a link up party! Must be the excellent media management skills you talked about.
I’ve linked up 2 dinners today–butternut squash and caramelized onion enchiladas, since I still have some butternut squash in my Strategic Winter Squash Storage, and a Broccoli Rabe, Sausage, and Ricotta pizza. And, since I got a great deal on milk yesterday and picked up an extra gallon, I’m off to Annemarie of Real Foods Real Deals to make my own homemade ricotta.
Thanks!
Aww, you are too kind, Kirsten! Ha ha, maybe!
Man, your pizzas ALWAYS sound amazing! I’m so glad you share here!
My daughter (Sky) will want to see your homemade ricotta recipe!
By the way—thanks for sharing again this week, Kirsten!
Thanks so much for hosting and for featuring my post! My hope is to find ways people can do more for themselves without spending a whole lot of money.
This week I blogged about my new cast iron waffle iron and also 3 good books I think most people should own.
Hope everyone has a warm and safe weekend!
